Andy Lee MSc, MC Para - ChairAndy's day-to-day pre-hospital work is full-time with the Fire and Rescue Service. Having worked as a Station Manager at his sevices HQ, in 2017 Andy was seconded to the National Fire Chief Council National Resilience Team as National Flood Rescue lead - a post fully funded by Defra, Additionally he is a registered Paramedic, Chair of the East Midlands Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care and EMICS Fire & Rescue Regional Rep. Andy is an experienced BASICS Instructor who both instructs and course directs many Pre-Hospital Care Courses and examines on the Diploma in Mountain Medicine. In 2007 he authored the SMART@Scene course and during 2008 he received a national BASICS award for his work for BASICS and dedication to pre-hospital care. Andy is an experienced Technical Rescue Instructor, teaching many rescue disciplines with a specialism in extrication. During 2008 he joined the assessor team for the United Kingdom Rescue Organisation (UKRO) and spent 3 years as a national Subject Matter Adviser. Holding various technical rescue instructor qualifications, including a Diploma in Specialist Rescue he is a long standing Member of Edale Mountain Rescue Team and was the Mountain Rescue National Water Officer for over 3 years. Andy is a qualified Search Manager and has attended the PolSA training course and is a member of the Police National Search Board. For over ten years Andy has been a Advanced Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Instructor teaching many water and Water & Flood Incident Manager courses, authoring the national MREW course. Having attended various national flood events since 2007, he completed the Water Subject Matter Advisor course in 2014 and is a national Flood Rescue Strategic Advisor for Defra. Andy has attended international aid trips but his Pre-Hospital Care work is now much closer to home and he is founder and Chair of the East Midlands Pre-Hospital Care organisation. |

Dr Clare O'Connell MB BCh BAO FRCEM - TreasurerClare is dual-accredited in Emergency Medicine and Paediatric Emergency Medicine and works as a Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultant and Major Trauma Lead at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Clare’s work in the pre-hospital area includes experience responding with the MCUI at international motorsport events across Northern Ireland, providing medical suport at horse events and Clare is the Secretary of the East Midlands Regional Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care. Clare has completed the GNAAS Pre-Hospital Anaesthesia Course and the GNAAS Crew Course. She is an instructor on Advanced Paediatric Life Support, HMIMMS and Children's Advanced Trauma Course.

Dr John Stephenson - TrusteeJohn has been involved in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine for over 20 years. He is the former Medical Director for East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust and worked as Pre-Hospital Doctor, regularly responding out of hours from home. He was a Major Incident Medical Advisor and supports the work of BASICS and instructs on courses. John is a highly experienced Incident Manager and as well as Pre-Hospital Care work he has worked nationally in Emergency Planning and Preparedness.

Dr Justin Squires - TrusteeDr Justin Squires works as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine in Sheffield, UK. One day a week he is the HEMS doctor with The Air Ambulance Service flying from East Midlands Airport and is a Deputy Clinical Lead. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Sheffield and leader of their MSc Advanced Emergency Care module on Pre-Hospital Emergency, Event and Expedition Medicine. Dr Squires is an examiner in Immediate Medical Care at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Faculty Accredited Consultant Practitioner in Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine. He is a member, and formerly team leader, of Edale Mountain Rescue Team. |

Mr Matt Ward - TrusteeMatt is a Consultant Paramedic with West Midlands Ambulance Service and is a Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Emergency Care with a portfolio of research, sysetm design and performace inprovement. Matt responds to emergencies not only in his day job but also from home and often teaches on BASICS Pre-Hospital Care courses. He is currently a charitable director of the West Midlands CARE team and is responsible for educational governance. He has been a member of the Severn Area Rescue Association since 2005 and has been responsible for fundraising, training, equipment management and Mountain Rescue education during this time. He responded to various large scale search and rescue incidents including the 2007 floods as a Swiftwater Rescue Technician.

Master Roo - Trustee (Non-Voting)Roo is a German Shepherd Dog, and joined EMPHC as a puppy aged 12 weeks. He is perhaps the most intelligent trustee, with a very paw-sitive attitude to the work of the organisation and is always very suppaw-tive. He has attended most of the pre-hospital training events EMPHC have undertaken, and always brings joy to the work. |
